Hello,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes. I’ve just discovered the paleo & primal way of eating and intuitively it makes sense to me. So, I am beginning my journey into this life style. I am wondering about substitutions for ingredients that I’m allergic to, specifically: almonds and hazelnuts. These nuts have distinct flavors and I’m hoping you would offer some alternatives. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Hi Cynthia,
My first suggestion would be to try other nut meals that you are not allergic to. They will act most similarly to almond flour, although not always. The other option is coconut flour, which tends to be very different from any other flour in how it acts in baking. I don’t tend to use coconut flour as much simply because I am not as fond of the flavor and texture but will use it occasionally.
